Networking in South Africa
Our CEO and President, Randy Keith, is in the midst of a whirl-wind trip to South Africa. Our “local” employee, Grant Westhuizen, is guiding Randy and showing him the ropes. They are in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, sharing best practices with one of our partners, Techno Brain. Next, Randy makes a quick hop over to Arusha, then Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Randy was hoping to travel to Kibera and meet the inspiring people from the NGO, Carolina for Kibera, but the Executive Director was away at a retreat. We first learned about their mission from Rye Barcott, keynote speaker at our user conference Explorations 2012, and co-founder of the NGO.
We’re glad to know Randy is getting in some sight-seeing amongst his meetings. Here’s a photo of him at an elephant sanctuary in Nairobi. We’ve noticed some new Swahili phrases coming across email and are looking forward to hearing more about the trip when he returns to the states.
Safe travels and as Randy would say, Maisha marefu! Afya! Vifijo!

Safe and enjoyable travels, Randy.
Hope you get to meet Irene Coetzee in Cape Town and the mothers2mothers users!!
Mike.
Hope you enjoyed being in Nairobi, Kenya. The title should have been “Networking in South and East Africa”. Karibu Tena (Swahili for “welcome again”).
