Welcome Back to Serenic, James Romero!

December 13th, 2011 No comments

Please join us in welcoming James Romero back to Serenic.  James is returning to lead our Channel Sales operation for North America.  He was previously instrumental in launching the business development function here at Serenic, has managed two small businesses, and most recently, provided solution sales training for field personnel at Microsoft.  While consulting for Microsoft, he travelled to over 35 countries including Russia, the UK, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America.

James loves the great outdoors here in Colorado (hiking, snowboarding, skiing and biking).  When not working or spending time with family, he coaches youth baseball, loves reading and playing music, and watching the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies.

We look forward to working with James again and the leadership he will bring for our Serenic Navigator partners.

We are happy to welcome Carla Feagan back to Serenic and the field sales organization.  Carla is resuming her prior role as Channel Manager for HCM (Human Capital Management). She will help with our market presence and grow the reach of our HR and Payroll software, which is based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV.  Carla will operate from her home in Edmonton while periodically checking into our Serenic office in Edmonton as well.

Carla clearly brings back with her some valuable experience in working with many of our current HCM partners.  Welcome back Carla!

Cantect Letter, an online magazine profiling high-tech Canadian stocks recently interviewed our very own President and C.E.O. Randy Keith!

Randy Keith, President and C.E.O.

The article helps us learn about how Serenic Software fits into the larger landscape of nonprofits, NGO’s and charities. The nonprofit sector accounts for a high percentage of jobs and GDP, and Serenic helps companies in nonprofit sector account for their finances.  Randy candidly speaks about Serenic, from the business model to their competitive advantage. Welcoming Igor Barrena to Serenic

Igor Barrena

Please join me in welcoming Igor Barrena to Serenic as a very valuable addition to our growing international team as our new Channel Sales Manager for Europe.

Igor brings a wealth of experience in enterprise software sales to Serenic, having worked in various direct sales as well as partner management capacities, one of which was to launch and lead Blackboard’s e-learning business across the EMEA space, selling to Public & Private Higher Ed and other Education/Learning vertical markets.

Igor is a true international, having lived in over 6 countries, even including a couple of years in Minnesota (as a Spaniard taught him to live in below room temperature climate), fluently speaks 6 European languages (as far as I can count) and currently lives with his newly wedded  wife in not-as-freezing cold Frankfurt, Germany.

We are thrilled to have Igor on board to help expand Serenic’s footprint across the promising European continent.

Please help me welcome Igor to the Serenic Family.

June 7th, 2011 No comments
We would like to take a moment to officially welcome the newest addition to our Client Services Support team, Sarah Seely!

Sarah comes to us from Family Health International (FHI), one of our long-time nonprofit clients. We’re excited to dovetail her experience working at the nonprofit into helping our own nonprofit, NGO and public sector users in the future. While in her technical role with FHI, Sarah was instrumental in planning a pending upgrade of their fund accounting software – Serenic Navigator.

Sarah’s end user perspective and the ongoing internal support she provided at FHI can only lend additional strength to our ongoing commitment to produce a superior service experience.

Welcome to the team Sarah!

Serenic Welcomes Channel Sales Manager for Africa – Grant Van Der Westhuizen

April 25th, 2011 No comments

Welcome to the team, Grant!

Please join us in welcoming Grant to Serenic as the Channel Sales Manager for Africa. He brings a wealth of knowledge in software, including the successful launch of the Navision practice (from the ground up) in South Africa. Grant’s education includes accounting, marketing and business development, but his passion lies in IT and selling: “I changed my course of study and found a position with a listed IT company in Johannesburg, South Africa as a sales and marketing executive. That is where my love for IT and complex sales cycles and markets began.”

Grant opened an office in Cape Town to help support partners in the area. Since then he has been involved in channel development, business development and direct selling across various product offerings including Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP and Syspro. According to Grant, “I look forward to taking on the task of Serenic channel manager for Africa as I believe that Serenic has the focus and the offering to continue the success already achieved and to make a difference on the continent.”

On a personal front, Grant is just as busy outside of work keeping up with his 3 teenagers. If you don’t see him body boarding in the cold Atlantic water, he’s usually keeping his kids out of trouble or trying to keep up with their busy social lives. But when he really needs time to himself, Grant let us in on his secret spot: “When I need to take a break and find some time for myself it is usually on one of the many beautiful golf courses in Cape Town, not to say that my golf reflects this though!”
